Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. Designs for Health PaleoGreens Unflavoured
  • 1 cup fresh basil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds or raw nuts
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • ¼ cup lemon juice

Pesto is a nutritional powerhouse of green goodness. Basil is rich in phytochemicals and 1 tbsp. yields 43% of your RDI of vitamin K. PaleoGreens was formulated to provide 90% non-GMO freeze-dried greens including sulforaphane rich crucifers (kale, broccoli, and cauliflower sprouts) and cleansing chlorella. PaleoGreens was added to boost the nutrient density of this classic sauce as well as add a concentrated source of hidden vegetables!

Directions

Using a food processor pulse all ingredients, except for oil. While pulsing ingredients together, stream in oil until a paste forms. Store pesto in a glass mason jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Option

Can be made in larger batches and frozen in ice cube trays for up to six months.
